Reason for nomination: I teach with Amie at Pine Grove Elementary. I get to see first hand how much time and effort she puts in to helping animals. She uses so much of her free time and her own money to help animals who are either lost or homeless. She is our schools go to animal person. It seems almost weekly that someone is asking a favor or for advice regarding an animal. She truly has a heart of gold and is so dedicated to helping animals. I think she is more than deserving to be named Animal Welfare Hero of 2022.
