Reason for nomination: Carol has personally helped and cared for several dozen dogs and a few cats through the decades. Currently she is the proud pet parent of Murphy (rescued from Nashville's Hearts to Homes Humane Society), Buddy (and his liter mate until her death), found nearly dead on GA-135 at the Lanier County line, Einstein (who had a BB lodged in his back hind quarter, missing teethe and broken K-9), and just passed, Snow (adopted from the JAX Greyhounds as Pets Kennels). In every instance she has gotten them medical care and cared for them until the end of their lives.
